Responsibilities

Participates in and supports all aspects of healthcare food service operations. Works with facility staff to provide optimal nutritional care and demonstrates excellent customer service to patients, guests and staff. Follows healthcare food service industry standards, regulations, guidelines and procedures including monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding and storage processes. Avoids cross contamination of foods and adheres to personal hygiene requirements. Maintains proper labeling of food products and ensures storage of food equipment, and machinery per regulations and facility guidelines.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

- Prior food service experience preferred.


- Must be able to set daily priorities, work independently and as a team member. Must possess good patient/people relation skills; able to take instructions, comprehend and follow through. Must be able to perform basic computer skills. Must be able to learn and comprehend basic nutritional information. Must be able to read and write; and comprehend and follow written and oral instructions in English. 

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.  This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
