Job Description Summary:
Qualified individual who supports enteral nutrition patients by answering non-clinical related questions and coordinates the provision of formula and supplies in an accurate and timely basis. Maintains a cohesive relationship with all related enteral staff to maximize the effectiveness of the nutrition program.Job Description:
Job ResponsibilitiesProcesses initial referral enteral orders in CPR+ including order entry, initial dispense delivery ticket creation, coordination/communication with Patient Registration at ECOE or CMC
Fulfills new start process requirements by completing Enteral Order template (SWO), PHD drop ship balance order, ENT-Formula Brand Review assessment, and 24-72 hour new patient follow up call and assessment completion.
Complies with enteral formulary by taking every opportunity to convert to formulary formula and utilize formulary supplies.
Processes order changes, appropriately calculating formula amounts
Troubleshoots specialty supply needs and coordinates inventory needs with Supply Chain and CMC warehouse staff
Supports non-dietitian patient related issues and troubleshooting including pump related issues above Nutrition Care Coordinator capabilities.
Able to perform all job responsibilities of the Nutrition Care Coordinator.
Assists with monthly enteral refill calls and census management as needed.
Participates in on-call ECOE rotation as scheduled by Enteral ECOE Manager or Enteral Supervisor.
Performs other duties as required or requested.
Basic Education and ExperienceTwo years of experience as a Nutrition Care Coordinator or equivalent. High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of relevant work experience
Basic Qualifications & Interests (BQIs)Excellent oral and written communication skills
Flexible and able to work effectively in multidisciplinary team
Knowledge of basic medical terminology
Basic competency with Microsoft Office software
Preferred Qualification (PQI)Dietetic technician or medical assistant
Medical experience
Experience with enteral nutrition
