Nutrition Education Internship - Spring 2025

Job Summary:

Exos is seeking a passionate and motivated individual for this unique internship, reporting to our Nutrition Specialist Manager who is also a Registered Dietitian. In this internship, the student will be exposed to corporate wellness nutrition, sports performance nutrition, content creation and the business side of an industry leading human performance company. This will be a hybrid internship at our headquarters in Phoenix, AZ and will provide flexible hours.

Remote component:

Read through up-to-date nutrition research and help curate an Exos Point of View on various nutrition topics 

Support nutrition content creation for Nutrition Specialists, Performance Coaches, and Health Fitness Specialists across the company 

Help support systems and organization of existing nutrition content

Build new nutrition content to be both internal and external facing 

Support the curation and possible ordering of catering menus, snacks, beverages, and educational signage to go with various corporate wellness, tactical, and performance events. 

Support the evolution of the Exos Nutrition Methodology by building out relevant content such as questionnaires, assessments, evaluation tools, and more

In-person component:

Observe nutrition consults with professional athletes, corporate executives, tactical athletes and more

Observe and present nutrition education for various events

Sit in on intern education along with performance and physical therapy interns 

Support operations in the on-site fueling station as needed

Other:

Develop an in-depth understanding of the Exos Methodology though

Weekly small group and/or individual sessions

Self-paced learning modules

Assist the Nutrition Specialist Manager and HQ Performance Nutrition Specialist as needed with other duties such as food service management, educational presentations and operational tasks 

Be challenged to think outside the box to explore all possibilities instead of the cookie-cutter approach

Internship Requirements:

Must be in a Nutrition or Dietetics program that accepts course credit in exchange for an internship experience, as this is an unpaid internship

Have a desire to work in corporate wellness or sports performance

Have experience with content creation to include but not limited to: Various Social Media Platforms, Canva, Google Slides/Sheets/Docs 

Prior experience in sports or corporate nutrition is preferred 

Internship Logistics:

If selected for this internship experience, you will be asked to:

Find, secure, and fund your own housing for the duration of the internship.

Book and fund your travel and relocating to the location of your internship prior to the start date.

Fund all food and transportation costs for the duration of your internship.

Use a personal laptop or computer 

Confirm course credit through school advisor.
