This position will oversee the grant activities specific to Wyoming-based projects and all contracted services for the development of new, expanded, or refreshed training resources for both state agencies. They shall also work collaboratively with the project director and DEED sub-grant coordinator to ensure the timely completion of tasks within budget. This is a full-time AWEC Contract position. Human Resource Contact: Pam Glick /pam.glick@wyo.gov/ 307-777-7962 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level. + Directs, manages, and evaluates a state and/or federal program. + Develops and implements state-level activities for educational programs. + Monitors programs for compliance with regulations and provides feedback to districts and other sub-grantees. + Develops and monitors contracts with professional service providers as needed. + Monitors federal funds for appropriate expenditures and ensures all funds are drawn down in a timely manner and that they are being used appropriately. + Identifies potential problems and devises solutions. + Oversees the grant/contract process. + Disseminates professional trends by presenting information at meetings, workshops, and/or conferences. + Develops strategic planning for cross-agency collaboration and agreements to meet agency objectives and to implement new programs. + Due to changing federal regulations; the responsibility to interpret and make recommendations on policy, and analyze the impact of federal and state decisions on efforts to organize and develop systems. + Plans and conducts workshops and trainings on state and/or federal programs. + Oversees completion of state and federal reporting requirements. + Authority to ensure compliance. + Develops program budget, approves grants and funding, and monitors the appropriateness of expenses to meet project goals. + Plans and develops program strategies with educational programs, management, other agencies, organizations, and interested groups concerning funding options and best practices regarding the delivery of services. + Oversees all aspects of various programs, including assistance to the primary program, such as counseling for participants in programs. + Determines goals in professional development to ensure all job functions can be met Qualifications PREFERENCES: Preferences may be given to individuals with prior experiences in USDA Child Nutrition Programs. KNOWLEDGE: + Knowledge of nutrient analysis software, Excel, Google Docs, Email, Colyar, Word + Knowledge and ability to communicate USDA regulations. + Experience/knowledge of Child Nutrition Programs. + Ability to stay organized and communicate with school personnel. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree (typically in Education) Experience: 1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Education or Instruction) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Education Program Specialist. OR Education & Experience Substitution: 4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Education or Instruction) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Education Program Specialist.
