Your Role at Baxter

As a Nutrition Sales Specialist, you will drive balanced, long-term sales growth with existing and new customers, build long term relationships and create a pipeline of opportunities in their designated territory. This individual will work cross-functionally with marketing, quality, regulatory and other teams and will develop in conjunction with Baxter’s blueprint. The Nutrition Specialist will need to have the sophisticated knowledge required to effectively connect with doctors, dietitians, and other medical staff and must possess the confidence to demonstrate subject matter expertise of the product and therapy. Through a consultative sales approach, you will provide solutions regarding the products and therapy that will help to increase physician’s awareness around the importance of clinical nutrition and its significance as an element of a patient’s therapeutic regimen.
What you'll be doing
Plans, coordinates, and runs a territory and sales activities in order to achieve sales targets.
Demonstrates and implements marketing strategies and finds opportunities within targets.
You are the subject matter authority in Baxter’s nutrition products, services, programs, and therapies, and provides customers relevant information and solutions through the use of clinical tools and resources.
Applies product and market expertise to promote a high-degree of awareness and early adoption of Baxter’s Nutrition products.
Leads contracting cycle as and provides relevant customer information.
Optimally applies sales and marketing tools including Miller Heiman Strategic Selling, Opportunity Management System in Sales Force.com, etc.
Business unit profile and marketing corporate tasks and forecast, maintaining pipeline and planning growth (handling pipeline).
Accountable for building and maintaining long term relationships with key therapeutic customers to develop sales opportunities.
Problem solve and own customer issues, while ensuring all parties and team members are kept informed of relevant information and resolution, in order to improve customer dedication and revenue generation.
What you'll bring
Being a registered dietitian or having a university degree is required.
Specialty therapeutic sales experience, or hospital sales experience, or has worked as a registered dietitian in a hospital in Ontario.
Having a strong business acumen and being a strategic thinker (analytical capability).
Ability to work well in a team environment as well as work Independently.
Strong Presentation and influencing skills. The ability to manage a sophisticated sales environment including leading multiple projects.
Proven track record of success being able to adjust to a changing environment.
Having experience with clinical nutrition in surgery, ICU, GI.
