Starting at $17.80 and $16.94 per hour.

Job Summary

Join our Nutrition Services team at Corewell Health and make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. As a Nutrition Services leader, you will be expected to maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment. You will also have the opportunity to not only advance professionally, but personally. You will be mentoring team members and helping them stay engaged and succeed in a fast paced, educationally complex and culturally diverse atmosphere. You will be responsible for documenting team member-leader interactions, working side by side with department leadership, and collaborating with multiple Corewell Health locations.

Essential FunctionsResolving diet related matters for patients, patient families and nursing.Obtaining ServSafe manager certification within 90 days of hireEnsure correct sanitation, proper food storage, dating, labeling and preppingFamiliarity with state and local health code regulationsCross training in all areas: Call Center, Trayline, Tray Delivery, Dish Room and NourishmentsResponsible for training new team members in all 4 areasManaging daily and weekly staffing shortagesUpholding the most current departmental policies and proceduresScheduling and payroll assistanceProficient with multiple technology platforms such as Epic and APIOverseeing 35 or more team members on a single shiftOverseeing 4 separate positions/areas within the departmentEffectively communicating with team member and other leadersCreating and maintaining a professional, positive, well-organized environment

Qualifications

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent1 year of relevant experience in food service, preferably in healthcare setting or related fieldCRT-ServSafe Manager- NRA within 90 days of hireCRT-ServSafe Allergen- NRA within 90 days of hire

Preferred

Associates degree in Hospitality or Nutrition1 year of relevant experience in leadership
