The primary purpose of the Nutritionist III position is to work under the direction of the chief nutritionist or designee, implements the nutrition and breast-feeding components of the program.
Among the key duties of the position are the following: Assesses nutritional needs of participants in the program and provides individual and group nutrition counseling and education in accordance with regulations and guidelines. Collects data and prepares reports required by State and administration. Certifies and re-certifies applicants in accordance with policies and procedures. Develops individual/family nutrition care plans based on assessment of nutritional needs and available sources of nutrients. Assist in the development and implementation of the Nutrition Education Plan. Prepares curriculum for nutrition education classes and conducts regular classes. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
