Summary:
We are looking for a NYC Commissioning Director to oversee the operations of the NYC Commissioning Group for the New York/North Jersey area. This position will be responsible for the acquisition and management of projects in the greater NJ/NY area as well as personnel management, project execution and project financial performance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
NYC Office Performance
Manage all aspects of the NYC Commissioning Office including business development, office personnel, proposal generation, project execution and job performance profitability.
Be responsible for direction and development of the NYC Commissioning Business in conjunction with the Corporate Commissioning Department growth.
Manage the implementation of standards and processes that are to be utilized to streamline and improve the delivered product to the client and promote ease of execution of the commissioning process so that efforts can be focused to provide the most value to the client.
Manage project profitability and department billability including the balancing of personnel workload with entire Concord Commissioning team.
Business development in accordance with corporate defined goals.
Track project financial projections for office assigned projects and business development activities.
Conduct new client acquisition meetings and attend project pre-bid meetings prior to proposal development.
Be responsible for proposal development and fee estimation, to be reviewed by the SVP, Commissioning before bid submission.
Consistently analyze the NY Commissioning market and competition to better position the team for increasing market share.
Be responsible for ensuring the latest industry technologies are available to the Commissioning personnel, including the required training for personnel.
NYC Office Personnel Management
Be responsible to recruit, hire and retain new team members as the workload supports, with support from the SVP, Commissioning.
Provide technical direction for the NYC Commissioning Group as needed to ensure project execution and client relationships meet the department standards to foster long-term working relationships.
Closely manage and oversee Commissioning Team field activities to ensure quality of work product and ensure the workload is adequately shared amongst the field personnel.
Develop and maintain relationships with project contacts to develop additional business and/or develop on-going relationship.

MINIMUM Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, MBA or related Master’s degree (preferred)
Commissioning Certification issued by AEE, BCA, ASHRAE or ACG
Minimum 10 years of progressive managerial, engineering, or construction experience with a strong record of accomplishment in managing large multi-faceted projects requiring solid planning, control, review, and cost analysis.
Construction and general contractor experience preferred
MBA, P.E. or other certifications by Accredited Groups preferred
