Job Summary:
Responsible for all daily operation and maintenance activities for Walnut Creek Energy Park. This includes responsibility for all operations functions as well as all maintenance & planning work.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the Walnut Creek Energy Plant. Including all scheduling with the energy traders, outage request & notification, unit status and safe operation of the power plant equipment. Evaluate production output, efficiency and related variables and the overall effectiveness of operation practices and procedures. Measure and control maintenance performance. Develop, obtain approval, and monitor a complete operations and maintenance budget that is consistent with the objectives of the owners. Participates in corporate safety and environmental programs. Provide accurate, routine, and special reports on maintenance activities, cost allocation, system and equipment reliability.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree or the equivalent in training or experience plus. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in power plant operations or maintenance. Experience with start-up, operations, and maintenance of gas turbines, generators, electronic controls and monitoring devices. Proven managerial/supervisory experience required. Requires ability to sit for extended periods of time, periodically bending and twisting and frequently apply a moderate amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of gas technologies with advanced degree in engineering. Knowledge of EH&S rules, regulations, and procedures. Environmental control experience. Capital project experience.
Working Conditions:
This is primarily an office environment job however the position will require on occasion going into the station or outside areas. Those environments will include being around rotating equipment, exposed to high/low ambient temperatures, high humidity areas, in areas with high voltage electrical equipment, high noise areas and elevations up to 400 feet.

Please Note: Salary offered will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s education and/or experience and consistent with the job location’s market pay rate. The salary range for this role is $111,672.00-167,508.00. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
