We’re just built to be better. We are a great company. We are seeking a **O&M Process and Controls Specialist (EIR Technician 3)** to join our Houston, TX team! Come join us! **Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Electrical and Controls Troubleshooting: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including but not limited to motors, control panels, and other electrical equipment related to remediation systems. Perform regular inspections to ensure electrical components and systems meet performance and safety standards. + Instrumentation and Process Control: Support operation and calibration of various instrumentation such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, and level controllers. Implement and maintain automation controls (e.g., PLC, SCADA) for process management and optimization. Perform control system upgrades or modifications to ensure optimal system performance. + Operations and Maintenance (O&M): Conduct routine O&M tasks such as system monitoring, preventive maintenance, and system optimization for groundwater recovery and treatment systems. Lead or assist in commissioning new systems, ensuring that electrical and control systems are installed and functioning according to specifications. + Fault Finding and Problem Solving: Quickly identify and address issues affecting process equipment to minimize downtime and improve system reliability. Apply problem-solving techniques to assess root causes and implement long-term solutions for recurring operational challenges. + Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed logs, records, and reports regarding system performance, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting efforts. Assist with the preparation of SOPs and other technical documents related to electrical and controls systems. + Support for Multi-Disciplinary Teams: Collaborate with other engineers, operators, and contractors to troubleshoot system-wide problems and coordinate repair efforts. Provide electrical and controls guidance to junior team members and other stakeholders. + Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with safety regulations and best practices. Participate in safety audits, inspections, and training as necessary. + Travel and Fieldwork: Perform fieldwork primarily at project sites in Texas, with occasional travel to other Atlas project locations as needed. Be available for on-call support in emergency situations or during system failure **Minimum requirements:** + An associate’s degree in industrial maintenance technology or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation and maintenance. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop solutions in dynamic and challenging environments. + Leadership abilities and a demonstrated capacity to work effectively within a team setting. + Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced work environment. + Physical ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs., stand or walk for extended periods, work at heights as needed, and perform duties outdoors in hot or cold weather. + Proficiency in working with PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and various industrial process control equipment. + Active possession of a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), or the ability to obtain one upon employment. + Ability to pass a DISA background check to work at specific project sites. + Completion of OSHA HAZWOPER training and the ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). + A valid driver’s license with an acceptable record, adhering to Atlas company policies. **Technical requirements:** + This role requires a candidate who is skilled in electrical and control systems, with a strong understanding of process operations, particularly in the environmental remediation sector.
