O&M Technician
Basic Function

The O&M Site Technician will interface with the “boots on the ground” (BOG) of the site Operator and other service providers/suppliers to ensure alignment of priorities among all parties. They will capture information on service updates (CM, PM, Warranty) and equipment status on a daily basis.

Duties and Responsibilities Immediately act on major equipment incidents such as skid trips, feeder trips, and plant trips. Coordinate with the site Operator to isolate faulty units and bring inverters/skids/circuits back online with maximum capacity as soon as possible. Provide oversight to technicians on-site when needed. Answer questions from the Operator regarding equipment failure mitigation. Provide troubleshooting guidance/suggestions to BOG when needed. Lead daily site updates, including meetings as needed to obtain the latest service updates and equipment status information. Align BOG of all parties on priorities and plans of action. Provide updates to the O&M Manager and O&M team during daily stand-ups, and compile daily summaries. Be the primary contact for other ad-hoc on-site coordination and logistics. Track work orders in the CMMS system through completion to ensure timely maintenance and repairs. Track open warranty items and log work. Qualifications Strong experience working with transformers in distribution and transmission systems. Utility-scale solar experience preferred. Qualified to perform switching and grounding of medium and high voltage equipment; NETA Level 3 or higher certification preferred. Sound safety knowledge, including LOTO, arc-flash, shock hazard, and other on-site safety aspects. An organized record keeper and communicator. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other productivity applications.
