12 hour night shift JOB SUMMARY: Demonstrates knowledge of the nursing process as a standard, incorporating elements of holistic family centered care through the collection, verification and organization of data about a patient’s health status, planning for care, implementation of the plan and evaluation. DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC: Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery and Postpartum/Newborn as well as Neonatal Intensive Care setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including: fetal monitoring, hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Participates in performance improvement activities.
