OB TECHNICIAN
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION A person who under the direction and supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse, provides patient care functions to the childbearing patient and her family within the SRMC philosophy and related to a variety of patient/family needs.  Manages instrumentation and the stocking of supplies, assists with the delivery process as needed and assists physicians with Cesarean Sections. QUALIFICATIONS

 

Professional/Educational At least 16 years of age. Basic computer skills preferred. Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Currently certified by IDPH as a CNA or successful completion of the first level of RN clinical education from an accredited school of nursing. DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

 

Personal Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct. Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others. Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty. Ability to follow directions accurately.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
