OB Triage Clinic Nurse / Nurse Clinician I
Working/Functional Title OB Triage Clinic Nurse Position Summary The OB Triage Clinic Nurse provides direct nursing care to pregnant patients in an ambulatory-based triage setting. They assess, triage, and provide interventions for pregnant women who are experiencing concerns such as preterm labor, labor onset, bleeding, high-risk pregnancy symptoms, or fetal monitoring issues. The OB Triage Nurse plays a critical role in the initial evaluation and management of obstetric patients, ensuring a timely, safe, and effective plan of care, in collaboration with the healthcare team. Key Responsibilities: + Patient Assessment and Triage + Clinical Interventions + Monitoring and Documentation + Patient Education and Counseling + Collaboration with Healthcare Team + Safety and Quality Care + Crisis Management Minimum Requirements Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four year college degree program in Nursing; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in Nursing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position also requires possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. May require a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and/or work experience in a particular area of nursing or health care. Desired Qualifications Education: + Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program. Licensure/Certification: + Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications may be required or preferred. Experience: + Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in obstetrics, labor and delivery, or a similar clinical setting. + Experience in triage nursing, critical care, or maternal-fetal medicine is a plus. Skills: + Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. + Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and other medical documentation systems. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
