A Brief Overview:
I’M SPEAKING (The Improving Safety, Patient Experience, and Equity through Shared Decision-making Huddles in Labor) Research Assistant -OB/GYN. This position will support a Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) funded award.  The goal of the study is to implement a shared decision-making model on labor and delivery units in 22 birthing hospitals in Illinois, aimed at improving birth equity, increasing shared decision-making between patients and care teams, and decreasing the cesarean delivery rate for Black birthing people.

What you will do:

Perform administrative duties related to Endeavor IRB approval, ongoing study maintenance, and results reporting.Maintain regulatory documents as per Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). Assist in preparation of materials for weekly meetings, monthly investigator meetings, and additional presentations and publications.Support all aspects of the work of the Research Coordinators (RCs) involved in organizing and coordinating visits to all of the 22 hospitals within the I’M SPEAKING projectAssist in preparing expense reports for I’M SPEAKING Endeavor study staffCollaborate with a team of fellow researchers to organize the flow of research materials and execute study proceduresAssist with data entry, tracking, cleaning, extractions, and analysis

What you will need:

Education: Bachelor's degree (preferably in social, biological, computer, healthcare sciences) requiredExperience: 6 months minimum experience as a research assistant in human subjects’ research (or equivalent position) required
