Job DescriptionGDIT is seeking an Observability and Monitoring Platform Architect to work in our remote office.
We are seeking a skilled Observability and Monitoring Platform Architect to join our dynamic Technology Shared Services team within the GDIT organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing IT Service Management and Operations platforms and a deep understanding of observability and monitoring solutions. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-performance, scalable, and robust observability and monitoring systems.
HOW AN OBSERVABILITY AND MONITORING PLATFORM ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Develop and implement observability and monitoring solutions iteratively (including technical, management, transition, cost/estimation).Support capture and proposal efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business, by developing technical solutions for capture strategy and proposal responses to include authoring.Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and propose changes and tailoring where needed to ensure that GDIT offers efficient and effective solutions that meet customer objectives.Work with cross-functional teams to define observability and monitoring requirements.May serve as a task or project leader (Not a people manager).Document architectures, procedures, and processes.Join and actively participate in work “on our business” to improve the way we work.Take existing solutions, methodologies, and frameworks and develop and price repeatable offerings for broad use cases across federal contracts.Develop and implement innovative solutions to address complex technical challenges impacting multiple sectors, using creative problem-solving and advanced technical expertise.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field with 15+ years of IT experience. In lieu of degree, 20+ years of IT experience and domain expertise in observability and monitoring tools. 10+ years with Observability and Monitoring Tools
Required Technical Skills: Software Development, Data Engineering, API Integrations, experience implementing and enhancing common observability and monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Splunk, ServiceNow, DynaTrace, ScienceLogic, etc.)
Security Clearance Level: Ability to obtain Secret
Required Skills and Abilities: Communication, coordination, problem solving, research, documentation/proposal, team inclusion, and process-oriented approaches. Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth and technology focused environment.
Location: Remote with some travel (10%)
