General Summary:

As a software developer in the Qualcomm IT Operations Management Team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining full stack applications. Your expertise in Golang, Python, and Java will be crucial in building robust and scalable software solutions. The position requires knowledge across different systems including coding, database, and continuous delivery and deployment. 

This position will: 

Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Python, Golang, and Java. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features. 

Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. 

Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance. 

Maintain code quality and organization through best practices and code reviews. 

Address production issues and provide Tier 3 on call support. 

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. 

Technologies we use: 

Languages: Python, Golang, Java, JavaScript 

Task management: JIRA 

Version control: Git, GitHub 

Deployments: Jenkins, Bash, Amazon Web Services, Docker 

Observability: DataDog, Grafana, Prometheus

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
OR
5+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

Physical Requirements:
• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 20 lbs.

Required for this position: 

BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience 

4+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role for large business environments 

Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design 

Proficiency in Golang, Python, and Java. 

Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web frameworks like Flask. 

Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks. 

Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and web servers (e.g., Nginx). 

Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. 

Demonstrated ability to work with global teams across time zones. 

Preferred qualifications: 

Interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems. 

Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive. 

Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, complex technical environment 

Self-starter attitude and the ability to make decisions independently
