Job Description
As a Senior Observability Engineer, you will design monitoring solutions for diverse business capabilities. With a focus on observability, you will develop systems that provide real-time insights into system performance and reliability. Proficiency in Linux, monitoring tools, automation, scripting, security, and networking fundamentals is necessary. You will enhance our monitoring strategies, using Zabbix and SolarWinds, to ensure our infrastructure and applications are efficient, resilient, and scalable.
Reporting to Senior IT Manager
Your Responsibilities:You will design observability systems and frameworks to monitor computing environments.You will develop monitoring strategies using Zabbix and SolarWinds.You will establish and maintain monitoring and logging standards for infrastructure and applications.You will create automated solutions for monitoring setup, runbooks, and alert resolution.You will provide leadership and education to team members on best practices for monitoring and observability.You will contribute to the configuration management of diverse Linux-based systems.You will collaborate with teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and enhance system visibility.You will improve monitoring, logging, and tracing processes.You will document and refine operational processes; propose improvements to existing workflows.You will assist with the design and management of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in Azure, AWS, or GCP.The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experienceThe Preferred - You Might Also Have:At least 7 years of experience managing Linux environments with a focus on monitoring and observability.5+ years of extensive experience managing large-scale Linux environments.5+ years of hands-on experience with Zabbix; familiarity with SolarWinds.Proficiency in configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef).
