Job Description

The Information Technology division of Rockwell Automation is building a Virtual, Integrated Command Center (VICC) and is looking for Observability Operators.

Monitoring plays a crucial role for our clients by ensuring that our business-critical infrastructure and applications are available and performing. You will help to maintain our tools and work with partners to implement new monitoring for critical applications.

This is a new position and new function, located in Katowice with reporting to the Technical Leader – Command Center located in Katowice, and will assume responsibility for Rockwell's observability, monitoring, certain operational tasks, and some aspects of Security Operations.

You will be based in our Katowice, A4 Office campus on Francuska street in hybrid model, working in afternoon shift varying from between 12-20 and 14-22.

Your Responsibilities:Application and infrastructure monitoring, being first responder and escalating/alerting ongoing issue with Tier2 or Major Incident Management TeamInitiate technical conference calls for handoff Tier2/ Major Incident Management Team.Partner with the Major Incident Management (MIM) team, driving down MTTD and MTTR while driving up Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)Contribute knowledge to the AIOps engine.Work with fellow Operators to perform warm handoffs of open backlog and administrative work as the shift starts and ends.Escalate P1 and P2 incidents to the appropriate parties.Perform solid ticketing discipline in ServiceNow for Incident and Event management.

The Essentials - You Will Have:At least 1 year or 1st line Service Desk\Onsite IT Support\NOC (network operation center) experience support.Basic knowledge of ServiceNow or other ticketing system.Basic understanding of an ITIL methodology.Good English language skills both written and spoken.Ability to work with minimal or no supervision.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:ITIL v3 or 4 certificate will be an assetFamiliarity of MS Office tools (Excel, Visio, Power Point) would be an assetGenuine interest in professional development.Experience with backend software development (web design, software coding, testing)will be an asset.
