Key Responsibilities:
Provides therapy evaluation, treatment planning, treatment, patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full caseload of patientsProvides all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative dutiesDemonstrates appropriate communication, professionalism and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants, aides, volunteers) and complies with all organization policiesComplies with organization code of conduct and meets professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practiceThis is a M-F position, no weekends and no callProvide care for patients of all ages from infants to adultsCoverage is needed at two sites in Duluth, MN with primary need in an outpatient therapy setting as well as potential coverage within the orthopedic departmentWork where the patient need is highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allowsProvide staff education, participate/lead committee groups, participate in staff onboarding/orientationMay serve as a clinical instructor, participate in department or therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that would benefit patient careMust have hand therapy and custom splinting experienceEducational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy from an AOTA or APTA-approved programLicensure/Certification Qualifications:Certification/Licensure Requirements:
