Lutheran Service Society is a nonprofit human services provider with the mission to empower our neighbors to lead independent, dignified, and secure lives. Programs include adoption and foster care, Meals on Wheels, senior centers and affordable housing. The responsibility of the Occupancy Specialist is to assist residents and applicants of the Affordable Housing Program with the goal of achieving maximum residence. The Occupancy Specialist position is responabile for assuring LSS HUD Properties operates within all compliance requirements for new leases and renewals within the recertification process of our residents. The Occupancy Specialist reports to the Supervisor, Propery Management and completes other duties as assigned. Expected to travel to all 6 HUD buildings as needed. The main office location will be determined through discussion with the Supervisor. Qualifications High school Diploma or GED required. One year of experience with on-site Affordable Housing preferred. One year of experience with general office duties, including answering phone, typing and filing preferred. Experience with professional interaction with clients required. Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
