Occupational Health and Safety Consultant
The Role:
A unique OHS consulting opportunity exists within our Victorian consulting practice. The OHS consultant role reports to a Senior OHS Consultant within the team of specialist consultants delivering OHS services including risk assessments, incident investigations, workplace inspections and providing advice and support to clients on all matters relating to OHS.

Provide OHS consulting and risk management services to Marsh clients and internal Marsh teams in the form of:
Attending client sites to conduct OHS support visitsProviding advice on compliance to the client’s OHSMS and OHS legislative requirementsCoaching and mentoring of client stakeholdersOperation of telephone and email advisory serviceCompleting technical risk assessments and associated reportingDeveloping and/or delivering OHS trainingDevelopment and review of OHS management systems and/or documentsUndertaking OHS site and system audits and other OHS support services as requiredDeliver written and verbal reports/advice that is of high quality, technical accuracy and timeliness for clientMaintain strong day to day relationships with clientsFollow, promote and facilitate the project management processes and procedures on all projects in accordance with the Marsh operational requirements.When performing work or SME function on projects, support the allocated Project Manager in executing allocated tasks or deliverables as assigned and in a timely manner.Comply with company policy and procedures for Marsh and DE timekeeping, expense reporting and billing requirementsWhat you need to have:
Tertiary degree in Occupational Health and Safety or any relevant field (minimum Cert IV OHS + relevant experience will be considered)2-3 years + experience in OHS advisory or related role is desirableExperience working with government organizations is highly regardedSound working knowledge of OHS legislation and current issues in OHSSound understanding of risk management principles and the ability to apply these principles in the management of WHS hazardsCertificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training (desirable)Exemplar Global OHS auditor accreditation (desirable)Current drivers license and own vehicle requiredAbout us:
