What is the Opportunity?

As part of an alliance agreement Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). Beginning in 2023 Aecon will support the validation phase design, procurement, early site preparation and site mobilization scope for the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.

 

The Occupational Health (OH) Team is looking for a co-op student to join the team for a 4 month term.

 

What You'll Do Here:

Provide operational support and resources for the OH team. Aid in coordinating and delivery of site health promotion events. Scanning confidential documents into the medical documentation system Jane Assists in administrative tasks for Nursing clinics Develop health promotional documents and presentations. Complete nursing documentation audits. Complete monthly checks and restock trauma bags in the various construction areas.  

 
What You Bring To The Team

Currently enrolled in a university or college degree/diploma in Occupational health and safety, Nursing or related field. Experience working with and maintaining confidential documents.  Valid G License and access to a vehcile required. Construction Industry Experience in an asset. Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong verbal and written communication skills including experience in preparing reports. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are required. Ability to be self-motivated and work effectively with minimal direction. Effective organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure work environment. Collaborative team approach and ability to build successful working relationships with clients and project teams. OPG Security Clearance is required.
