OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE – FLEX

In this position...

Flex Nurses will rotate between defined facilities to ensure optimal coverage to meet patient healthcare needs. Flex Nurses will be dedicated to one site daily, Sterling Axle Plant and Van Dyke Electric Powertrain Center which are within 3 miles of each other. Candidate must demonstrate flexibility to adapt to various work sites with a schedule that adjusts based on work requirements. Involves frequent lifting of 10 to 25 pounds, requiring walking, standing, and some sedentary work in conditions with moderate noise levels and exposure to varying temperatures.

 

You'll have...

Associate degree in nursing 2+ years of experience in areas such as clinical occupational health nursing, urgent care, critical care, emergency room, or adult medical/surgical nursing BLS Certification Required Registered Nurse Unrestricted state licensure in the state of practice

Bachelor’s degree in nursing Certified Occupational Health Nurse preferred

What you'll do...

Provide health services and administer surveillance evaluations to company employees, recording observations, assessments, and treatments in accordance with company policy. Perform routine nursing tasks associated with medical screenings, tests, and clinical procedures. Collect appropriates samples and specimens from patients and perform hearing and vision screening following clinical protocols. Monitor patient vitals, behaviors, and assists in medical emergencies that may occur on company premises such as accidents, injuries, sudden illnesses, etc. Follow established policies and procedures, identify roadblocks, and effectively communicate issues to the medical team’s attention. Provide patient-centered care with empathy, kindness, and professionalism. Communicate health screening results, communicate physical rehabilitation programs information to patients requiring treatment, and assist with medication administration while managing medication protocols. Maintain accurate and confidential records, ensuring compliance with regulatory developments and infection control protocols. Support emergency procedures preparation and adherence to infection control practices. Maintain an understanding of all relevant regulatory developments defining patient privacy and medical record confidentiality, infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, accreditation Standards, etc.
