Occupational Health Nurse III
The Occupational Health Nurse III delivers programs and services that develop and maintain healthy and safe workplace environments for employees. Working under limited supervision, this role focuses on promotion and restoration of health, prevention of illness and injury, and protection from occupational and environmental hazards for the organization's employees.

Assesses the needs of the employee population and identifies primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention and health promotion strategies to optimize health and prevent injuries and illnesses.
Reviews that assessments, treatments, outcomes, work and disability status, screenings, and educational offerings are documented in a thorough manner.
Refers employees with identifiable limitations and/or health risks to appropriate resources.
Performs health screenings and health assessments (post-offer physical exams, wellness screenings, audiometric testing, vision screening, bloodborne pathogen exposure care and follow up, drug screening) to identify and monitor risks to the employee?s health.
Oversees health promotion incentives and educational materials to promote employee health and wellness.
Serves as a knowledgeable resource to employers and employees on occupational health and safety issues, policies, laws, and regulations.
Communicates appropriate health information to the organization in a timely and professional manner, i.e. work-related injury information, return to work status, laboratory tests, and drug screen results.
Ensures clear and concise employee health records are maintained to meet the requirements of the department, the company, and any applicable standards or laws.
Maintains and safeguards confidentiality of employee health information and health records.
Coaches and reviews the work of less experienced Occupational Health Nurses.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:Required: 5 years of experience
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a Compact state
COHN certification
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
