Job Summary: As an Environment, Health and Safety intern at LG Energy Solution, you will focus on Health & Safety and Environmental conditions within our state-of-the-art Lithium-Ion battery plant in Holland, MI. This position will be responsible for work that includes: + Assist with design and implement training related to environmental topics + Assist with developing work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) + Evaluate and create environmental incident reports + Maintain an understanding of different production processes in order to facilitate training and provide continuous improvement such as waste/recycling management, storm water management and others as necessary + Assist with collecting and analyze environmental data such as air emissions and waste/storm water data + Conduct daily line walks to ensure S&H practices are being observed and to note any at-risk behaviors, unsafe conditions, faulty equipment or non-compliance with any H&S related policies/regulations + Assist with cross-functional teams to drive improvements across the organization + Introduce to workplace compliance evaluations in regard to local, state and federal regulations Qualifications: + Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental & Sustainability -Junior or Senior standing + Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 GPA or higher Skills + Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation + Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint + Ability to be flexible and adapt to new task and projects + Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy + Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining high degree of confidentiality Our team members are leading the electric vehicle industry in a technically advanced manufacturing environment.
