Overview:
The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for providing promotion and support to company health and wellness efforts, case management with work-related injuries, case management, illnesses and other general health issues. This position will provide services to multiple facilities located in northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama.
Responsibilities:
Provide core nursing services and support to work-related injuries, illnesses and accidents Administer basic health and medical services including vital signs, first aid, injections, lab draws, oral/urine drug screens, etc. Participate and assist with pre-placement and/or post-employment health assessments Maintain all applicable and appropriate health and medical information in the record keeping system Assist with the delivery and implementation of on-site wellness programs, services and events Manage, monitor and check equipment, supplies and other nursing/medical related operational systems and services Conduct CPR/First Aid/AED and Stop The Bleed training Support company-related efforts including workers compensation case management, leave of absence/FML administration, safety and general HR responsibilities Perform procedures under the guidance of the Nurse SupervisorQualifications:
Current certification in the State of Georgia and ability to obtain license in multiple states CPR Instructor Certified preferred Compliance with Clia waived laboratory standards, HIPPA, PHI, DOT and other applicable regulatory and legal guidelines Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality and privacy Exceptional customer service and patient care Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to maintain effective and organized schedules and systems Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerChart, SPM and Outlook
