These products are used in commercial, infrastructure and industrial applications to protect people and property.(Bilingual Preferred) Responsibilities: Provide on-site emergency care to employees within the guidelines of written medical orders; providing first aid and medical treatment; mange chronic health care of employees within the guidelines of written medical orders, providing medications, health assessment, and referral; assisting injured employees returning to work from medical leave.Provide case management of Workers’ Compensation claims including: regular communication with insurance provider to manage employee treatment and minimize costs, contacting doctors and/or hospitals as need to schedule and review treatment, contacting employees to inform them of appointments, processes and discussing treatment.Be familiar with all company safety rules, regulations, and policies. Ensure that safe and healthful working conditions are maintained in accordance with company standards, as well as, state & federal laws and regulations. Responsible for attending all assigned safety meetings. Participate in incident investigations as requested by the safety team.Assist in planning, developing, implementing, managing and evaluating occupational health and health promotions programs for the Company; assist in developing objectives for occupational health services through a collaborative role with other departments in the company.Develop and maintain employee health records to ensure continuity of care, employee confidentiality and feedback to Management, in compliance with government regulation, company policy and applicable Codes of Ethics.Perform worksite walk-through assessments to determine employee work processes and potential sources of illness and injury; monitor the health and safety needs of Company employees; contribute to the design of health controls and surveillance of actual and potential toxic or hazardous conditions in the work environment.Provide individual counseling sessions to employees on health maintenance, results of health screenings and health promotion activities; recommend, purchase, and maintain medical supplies and equipment necessary for the optimal functioning of the Medical Department.Collaborate with other on-site members of the occupational health team such as occupational medicine physician, industrial safety personnel, safety engineers, management and union representatives, etc; participate in continuing education to update knowledge of occupational health and safety including legal regulations applicable to occupational health and safety; delivering health and safety training (e.g. CPR and First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, etc.); keeping up to date with legal and professional changes associated with occupational health and safety.Coordinate medical support with local area healthcare providers including onsite and offsite care for employees.Actively participate in company process improvement initiatives designed to improve workplace efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve quality.Maintain the OSHA 300 Logs and completion of electronic submittals of injury logs as required by OSHA and state agencies.Qualifications (education, experience, skills, personal attributes): Bilingual preferred, but not required (English & Spanish)Work requires completion of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associates degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program Preferred working knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and legal requirements Preferred working knowledge of OSHA regulations and requirements Must be computer literate. Must posses the ability to use and prepare Excel spreadsheets and graphs; ability to use Microsoft Word; and the ability to use and prepare PowerPoint presentations. 3+ years of experience preferred.
