Bridgton Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to step into a thriving outpatient clinic with a specialty in UE/hands.
The ideal candidate would either hold their Certification in Hand Therapy, have experience in this specialty or be willing to complete an interactive mentorship under a CHT.
This is a full-time, 30 hours per week position with room to grow to 40!
This position works with patients of all ages with both orthopedic and neurologic upper extremity concerns and would collaborate closely with our Central Maine Healthcare Orthopedics team as well as other therapists in Bridgton Hospital and organization wide.
This position comes with a continuing education budget and on-site access to a CHT. Physical Therapists with a CHT or Hand specialty are also encouraged to apply.!
What You’ll Do
OTR will Evaluate patients and develop a comprehensive treatment plan to restore patients to their maximum functional potential, according to acceptable principles and practices of occupational therapy. The OTA will follow the established Plan of care and collaborate with the evaluating therapist for patient care.
Direct therapeutic intervention for the restoration of patient’s functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
Provide care to patients in the setting of acute care setting with growth opportunities into the outpatient setting as well
Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
Collaborate as a member of the healthcare team for the provision of comprehensive patient care.
Maintain consistent with training and competency review, including regulatory requirements such as CMS and state and federal regulations and standard

Requirements and Qualifications for the Position
Current State Occupational Therapy or Occupational Therapy Assistant Licensure.
Current BCLS certification.
