Mercy General Hospital is proud to foster inclusion and diversity as part of our mission vision and values. **Responsibilities** The incumbent demonstrates competency in occupational therapy for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients as applicable for the site/level of care of employment. the incumbent provides patient assessment, develops and implements individual patient treatment programs, provides therapeutic interventions utilizing current and effective methodologies, and maintains effective documentation. The **Occupational Therapist** evaluates and conducts medically prescribed occupational therapy treatment programs in an inpatient rehabilitation unit setting. Supervises occupational therapy assistants in performing treatment. Supervises students. **Responsibilities:** + Provides initial evaluation of patient's abilities and designs appropriate intervention plans. + Treats patients with therapeutic procedures modalities and or equipment to improve function. + Assures efficient management of work processes by completing tasks and assignments by time standards. + Completes post-intervention activities: session closure documentation communication charge capture. **Qualifications** **Qualifications:** **MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:** **Education:** + Current state licensure as an occupational therapist + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Health Care Provider from American Heart Association **Preferred:** Previous experience as an occupational therapist **Pay Range** $63.10 - $63.10 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
