Provides occupational therapy assessment and treatment using advanced clinical skills in a specialty area of occupational therapy for patients referred to non-contracted and contracted facilities of the Rehabilitation Institute. Serves as a clinical resource for other staff members. May have an individual agreement with an academic institution for instructional services. Participates in research conducted within the Rehabilitation Institute. 

Responsibilities:

Maintains documentation for occupational therapy services. Communicates patient status to healthcare team. Completes charge and statistical information to reflect services rendered. Schedules patients for productivity and quality care. Provides home instructions to patients and families. Supervises clinical education program for students. Maintains professional license through continuing education. Performs assessments, treatment, and supervises assistants. Rotates through treatment areas as needed. Participates in staff meetings and education programs.
