Position: Occupational Therapist (FMLA Coverage)
Duration: January 6, 2025 - March 28, 2025
Location: West Aurora, IL 60506
Grade Levels: Elementary and Middle School
AnthroMed Education is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide coverage during a leave of absence. The ideal occupational therapist will support students with varying needs, helping them achieve their educational and developmental goals through targeted interventions and strategies. Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ occupational performance and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s goals and abilities.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support student participation in daily activities.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation requirements.
Qualifications:
-Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
-Passing the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy https://www.nbcot.org/home/VerifyCredentials
-IDFPR License https://online-dfpr.micropact.com/lookup/licenselookup.aspx
-School-based experience is extremely beneficial as they conduct assessments, they update IEP goals and they collaborate with many different student-focused teams
