Occupational Therapist- Days

$10,000 for Student Loan Repayments

As an Occupational Therapist, at Northwest Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in occupational therapy.

Experience: Required for NMC:

One (1) year of acute care experience Preferred for OVH: One (1) year of acute care experience

Skills:

Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.

Licenses/Certifications: Required:

Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license; American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS certification For Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card

About the Job:

There are opportunities to cross train in other levels of care Northwest Medical Center including acute care, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, outpatient, and NICU.

This is a Full time day shift position working at Northwest Medical Center, will consider 5 days a week or 4-10 hours shifts. Two weekend days a month are required. Weekend shift differential offered. Evaluates and accesses the needs of patients and formulates treatment plans. Develop, carries out, and documents treatment programs. provides education and training for patients, caregivers, and families. Coordinates within the interdisciplinary team including (but not limited to) nursing, physicians, specialists, respiratory therapy, dieticians, case management, ST/PT, radiologists, etc. considers, plans, and coordinates ongoing treatment plans to facilitate safe and effective discharge. May supervise Occupational therapy assistants and aides. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to the Director of Therapy Services. Plans and implements specific treatment programs for individuals patients according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy.
