Responsibilities: + Embrace and exemplify NLCS’ core values in all interactions + Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess residents' functional abilities and identify areas needing intervention + Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on achieving specific goals related to residents' activities of daily living (ADLs) + Implement therapeutic interventions to improve residents' skills in areas such as dressing, cooking, eating, bathing, and managing medications + Use adaptive equipment and modify environments to improve residents' function and independence + Monitor and document residents' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes + Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, nurses, social workers, and physicians, to provide holistic care + Educate residents and their families on strategies to cope with and manage physical and cognitive changes + Participate in care planning and case conferences, providing expert recommendations and insights related to occupational therapy + Maintain an average “Patient Care Time” (productivity) of > 82.5% + Performs other duties as assigned Requirements + Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program + Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist + Experience in geriatric care or a senior living setting is highly preferred + Strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by the elderly population + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and educate patients and families + Proficiency in documentation and patient management software + Ability to read and speak English Benefits Culture makes all the difference in an organization.
