**Atrium Medical Center** **Occupational Therapy Assistant** + **_PRN:_** **_Schedule varies - 7:00am-3:30pm_** Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care Support COTA: The support occupational therapist assistant assists the occupational therapist in providing direct patient care services. The assistant provides treatment to patients to enhance the physical and/or cognitive performance while adjusting to their disabilities as defined in the assistant’s scope of practice. The assistant documents according to departmental standards. The assistant is a positive contributor to disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams. They participate in professional development; supervision of students and volunteers as appropriate; and in orienting new employees **Licensure:** Possess a valid license to practice Occupational Therapy issued by the State of Ohio. BLS (Basic Life Support) **Experience** Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience **Preferred experience** : 1-3 years of job related experience. **Knowledge/Skills** + Able to multi-task with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor. + Dependable, flexible and adaptable to change. + Teamwork oriented. + Display tact, diplomacy, and professionalism. + Strong analytical and prioritization skills. + Strong organizational skills. + Effective oral and written communication skills. + Maintain a high degree of confidentiality. + Basic computer knowledge and skills.
