Occupational Therapist - Cottonwood

Job Title: Occupational Therapist                                                            

Department: Rehab Services     

 

Provides therapeutic services including evaluation, treatment and education. Monitors the treatment plans of inpatients and outpatients.  Collaborates with the rehabilitation team to provide optimal patient care.

 

Essential Job Functions:


Completes evaluations, using appropriate tools consistent with the patient’s history and diagnosis in accordance with standards of care and practice.
Collaborates with members of the healthcare team to ensure evaluations are performance safety and accurately.
Establishes long and short term patient goals which are realistic, measurable and address functional needs and are identified with collaboration of patient, family and other involved care or team members. Goals are documented upon completion of treatment.
Plans and provides treatment to patients as appropriate in accordance with standards of care and practice.
Serves as clinical resource to staff, hospital, community and departmental committees. 
Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times.  Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone.


     

Minimum Qualifications:


BS or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Previous clinical experience/rehabilitation experience is preferred
Idaho State license (or eligible) as an Occupational Therapist
CPR Certification or completed within 30 days of hire.
