Job Description:
The OT will evaluate and treat patients; maintain communication with doctors and other health personnel, supervise aides, volunteers, support staff, and students. The OT will follow hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Follows Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures.
Job Duties:
Evaluate and treat patients, develop a treatment plan, and set goals for patientsPlans treatment appropriately including input from patient and/or caregivers.Completes evaluation form, treatment notes, progress reports and D/C summaries in a timely manner and appropriately submits to referring providerProvides services to improve functional independence and/or reduce pain such as: Therapeutic procedures/exercises or activities to promote ROM, strength, coordination, balance, functional mobility (bed mobility and transfers), ADL training (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, etc.), visual perceptual training, cognitive training, or splinting.
Provide patient/family education and provides home exercise program tailored to the patient’s needRequirements:
Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy is required.Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist by the Kentucky Board of Occupational Therapy or Board eligible.Must obtain BLS within three (3) months of hire.Preferred Requirements:
