Occupational Therapist Rehab (Program Position- Weekends)
Job Summary: MaineGeneral Health is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and Acute Care Therapy Departments at the Alfond Center for Health. This role is an exciting opportunity for a clinician with 1-2 years of experience who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is eager to expand their expertise in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation. Job Description: Location: Alfond Center for Health, Augusta, MESchedule: Part-time, 30 hours/weekShift: Weekend shifts 1.5 X base salary Why Join Us? + Work within an intensive, Stroke Certified, Inpatient Rehab Unit Program + Collaborate with an experienced, multidisciplinary therapy team + Opportunity to gain experience in acute care + Competitive compensation and weekend shift differential What You’ll Do: + Provide patient-centered occupational therapy services to support recovery and independence + Educate and counsel patients and families on adaptive equipment and support programs + Design and implement individualized plans of care with minimal supervision + Supervise and delegate care to certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians + Prioritize treatment during high clinical demand periods + Assist with staffing coverage as needed to meet patient care needs What You Need: + Maine State Occupational Therapy License (required) + OTR Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) (preferred) + Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification (preferred) + Strong communication and teamwork skills Scheduled Weekly Hours: 30 Scheduled Work Shift: Job Exempt: Yes Benefits Supporting all aspects of our employees’ wellness – physical, emotional and financial – is a critical component of being a great place to work.
