Off-Site Manufacturing Production Manager

In this role, you will be a member of our rapidly growing Program & Project Management team. The PM team's standard is to 'manage each project like we own it'. We are currently looking for an Off-Site Manufacturing Production (OSM) Manager, this role is remote, but will require travel. The Off-Site Manufacturing Production Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the pre-construction planning, planning, organizing, and generally assisting the Owner with managing off-site fabrication and construction from beginning through close-out. The scope encompasses safety, quality, scope, schedule, and budget. Monitoring and reporting on the progress of OSM against the baseline schedule to ensure the project is completed on time and within the budget.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

OSM includes off and on-site production (prefabricated modules, logistics, move-in, and installation) and will work closely with supply chain partners both international and domestic.

Scope is primarily but not limited to mechanical (including HVAC) and electrical, including pipe and wire racks, skids, modules, and systems. Structural framing is necessary to support these items.

Developing project execution plans, baseline schedules and approving the budget

Supervising prefabrications, through construction installation and commissioning.

Ensuring compliance with quality, safety and building regulations.

It is intended to utilize international supply chain partners for prefabrication, compliance with the US Code, practices, and Means and Methods will be required. It will be necessary to coordinate with the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Manager to ensure that all planned installations comply with these local norms.

Keeping the Owner, and Cumming Group team informed and provide coaching to team, so all stay aligned to the common goals.

Prepare and present weekly status reports, including identification of potential future risks.

Review potential Change Orders for entitlement

Manage the Permit application, review, approval, and revision process, including scheduling and leading plan and document reviews to obtain all permits from the regulatory authorities for construction, in time to enable the construction schedule.

As a member of the construction core team (key personnel) interface as the primary single point of contract directly with clients / owners.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

Manage and monitor team members' activity in alignment with organizational goals. 

Delegate providing clear instructions and ongoing feedback. 

Monitor metrics and course correct as necessary while holding self and others accountable. 

Provide feedback to senior leaders and clearly communicate organizational direction to team members. 

Build relationships with key internal resources (peers, direct reports, & senior leaders). 

Actively listen and communicate effectively, clearly, unambiguously, and completely in both written and oral formats. 

Preferred Education and Experience:

Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field

Experience: 5+ years of experience in OSM Management on high-tech industrial mega projects

Preferred Certification: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED
