Our story starts in 1911, manufacturing cables to support the distribution of power generated from Niagara Falls, Nexans has proudly contributed to Canada's growth.  We have been involved in many of Canada's most ambitious projects; from dams, bridges, energy transmission and distribution to railroads and transportation. We are a vertically integrated manufacturer and our products are made at facilities located in Quebec, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.

 

GETTING TO KNOW THE POSITION 

One of the strategic orientations that Nexans pursues consists in capturing growth and differentiating its offer by escalading the value chain from the production of cables towards the provision of innovative cable systems and services and solutions to better address the current and future needs of our partners and customers.

 

The Offer Manager mission is to manage Offer portfolio on his/her given perimeter. On top of managing offered product portfolio, he/she is in charge to develop innovations in three main fields:

“Easy” products and services that allows clients to save costs, reduce installation time and address supply chain pain-points. Basically, make the life of our customer easier Advanced solutions that contribute to improve the operational performance of our customer by increasing the reliability during installation and monitoring systems that provide insights as to the health condition of assets. Sustainable solutions that provide our customer with levers to reduce their environmental footprint and contribute to achieve their sustainability target commitments

 

The position has to lead the promotion and deployment within the partner and customer organizations of a portfolio of differentiating innovations inspired from a relevant analysis of customer needs and market evolutions through in-depth interviews and visits on the field.

 

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

 

Offer construction

Develop a strong understanding of customer and partners way-of-working and pain points through a strong presence on the field (construction job site, engineering / supply chain departments, business conventions,..) Collect, analyze, understand and translate customer usages and needs (expressed or not) into opportunities for differentiation in respect of the offer management process Elaborate offer content (operational implementation & business case) together with sales and operational teams through a Total Cost of Ownership framework and focused on the clear demonstration of value creation for both customer and Nexans in economical, societal and operational terms. Promote innovation offer portfolio to customer with clearly explained economical impact/gains.

 

Project implementation

Ensure project implementation plan is clearly defined in close collaboration with operational and business stakeholders, i.e. a set of finite-duration tasks are to be performed in a specified sequence to produce the desired results within a prescribed time and budget if any. Actively supports and participates in projects implementation by providing technical and methodological support both on Nexans sites and at customer premises

 

Monitoring & reporting

Manage offer portfolio and offer lifecycle from development to launch and scale to retirement Monitor and ensure compliance with the pricing strategy Contribute actively to animate Nexans innovation community and share learnings and best practices Ensure alignment of objectives and priorities associated with Shift Prime and Amplify programs deployment

 

Support Sales development and Marketing

Provide training to sales & marketing as well as operational teams on the offer content and value propositions Support sales & marketing in adapting the offer argumentation and promotion tools Adapt, document and enrich services deployment standards and methodologies to regional specificities and spread knowledge across Nexans organization (operational and sales teams) through active communication

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE ?

 

Experience in project management and implementation Interest for cross-functional projects with strong presence on the field and in the plant Strong analytical skills Strong leadership, with ability to coordinate, motivate and communicate Problem solving Excellent proficiency in marketing & communication disciplines Solid electrical engineering skillset Prior background in digital technologies (AI, xR, cloud…) is a plus
