Office Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to navigate multiple computer programs efficiently. An insurance background and license are a plus but not required. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Customer Service:** + Provide superior telephone communication and assist walk-ins with payments or policy changes. + Develop and maintain relationships with insureds and insurance company representatives. + **Insurance Processing:** + Handle new business, rewrites, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals. + Process new auto applications and endorsements. + Call the wind company to verify coverage if needed. + Submit non-renewal cancellation notices and letters upon request. + **Administrative Tasks:** + Manage agent monthly commissions. + Scan renewal survey inspections into policyholder's folder. + Handle outgoing mail and order new forms as needed. + Ensure forms are up-to-date and review changes to manuals annually. + **Compliance and Documentation:** + Review new forms each year from RAM & North Star. + Make sure adequate forms are on hand and up to date. + **Additional Duties (Once Licensed):** + Visit potential clients and prepare proposals based on their needs. + Explain coverage details and changes to policies. + Backup administrative assistant/billing clerk for daily payments, deposits, non-payment cancellations, and installments. **Requirements:** + High School Diploma or GED. + Proficiency in navigating multiple computer programs. + Excellent organizational skills and superior telephone etiquette. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. + Must obtain an insurance license to support various insurance processes.
