Job Summary: Performs clerical and administrative responsibilities with timeliness and accuracy to ensure the efficient operation(s) of the assigned area(s).
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.
Work Experience: 0 - 6 months related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to organize and prioritize work in required time frame and desired outcomes. Ability to quickly assimilate new job functions in a fast paced environment. Effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to operate various office machines. (i.e. fax, copier, telephone system, PC)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Files and retrieves records ensuring accuracy. Sorts and distributes office mail, answers phone calls, collects, distributes, and sends faxes, letters, and other communications. Assists in the generation of departmental reports. Performs related responsibilities and routine clerical duties as assigned ensuring efficient use of time and quality of work Other duties as assigned to include entering employee and clinical information into computer system and entering supply usage into computer system to ensure accurate billing.
Decision Making: Independent judgment in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established.
Working Relationships: Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
