The Spencerport School District is currently accepting applications for an Office Clerk III (12 months) for the Community Education Department.
Job Description: The Community Programs department provides services for people to learn, gather, and give back. We do this by providing community education classes both in person and online, managing facility use, providing opportunities for volunteering and the like by building relationships, providing training & guidance and actively engaging with our staff and community for current & future needs. This position supports Community Programs by providing assistance with administrative functions and correspondence. Utilize computerized systems to input data and access relevant reports, communications and pertinent data. Collaborate with instructors, community volunteers, and student volunteers. Other duties as assigned. Required Credentials: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma plus EITHER:(A) Two (2)years of paid full-time or its part-time or volunteer* equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience; OR,(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with and Associate's degree or successful completion of sixty (60) college semester credit hours; OR,(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.* Volunteer experience must be documented by the participating agency and signed by the appointing authority. Employment dates, average number of hours worked per week, and job duties must be included.Preferred Credentials: Successful experience in a professional office environment, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Highly skilled in computer applications, Highly organized with exemplary time management skills.Work Year: 12-month assignment; 4 hours per day (10:00am-2:00pm, or flexible for a 4 hour day)
