We are looking for a Office Facilities Manager based in Barcelona.

The Office Facilities Manager is accountable for managing Cornellà and Madrid Office. This incorporates accommodation and associated services including investment programmes, operating costs, project execution, space planning,assets management, resources and EH&S .This includes management of various contractors/contracts to enable the site to function and monitor performance using service level agreements. Accountable for the office accommodation strategy and Facilities Management initiatives to underpin the Cornllà and Madrid property and business strategies and deliver cost savings.


As a Office Facilities Manager, you will:

Proactive management and replacement of installed Capital Mechanical & Electrical, Digital Technology and Security building assets.

Ownership, technical definition, and ongoing review / evaluation, of the Planned Maintenance Programme for the installed Mechanical & Electrical, Digital Technology and Security building assets.

Actively manage and control overhead expenditure.

For the Southern Europe Region act as Subject Matter Expert; providing direction and technical advice for office relocation projects, office capital investment projects and operational Facilities matters.

Designated EH&S Responsible Person for Cornellà and Madrid Offices. Responsible for the drafting, implementation and review of all EH&S processes and procedures to ensure compliance with AP’s legal responsibilities.

Chair the periodic site Senior Leadership meetings, to appraise leaders of required investments and revisions to site strategies.

Lead quarterly safety meetings to review operations with the Works Council, Business leads, EH&S, HR and Welbeing team.

Directly manage and develop key relationship with landlords, following the prescriptive clauses defined in the property leases.

Direction of the Site Facilities Management team, ensuring the highest standard of service is provided.

Accountable for the successful completion of internal and external office audits.

You will have:

Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field,

Relevant certifications in facilities management such as those from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) or the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM), are advantageous.

Language skills: Fluency (speaking and written) in Spanish and English is mandatory. Proficiency in other languages is advantageous.

Over 8 years of experience. This experience should include managing large office environments, maintenance operations, and vendor relationships.

Proven success in effectively managing costs and developing accurate forecasts and budgets (both operational and capital) is essential.

Demonstrable success in managing risk assessment and safety management programs.

Proven track record in delivering office fit-out progams and relocations.

Understanding of building regulations as they relate to office fit-out programs.

Excellent communication and influencing skills.
