What you do 

 

The Purchasing Officer is responsible for the inventory control, PO preparation and approval process of materials, supplies, and/or equipment, and the follow through with vendors on shipment and delivery and cash purchases. The incumbent shall also be responsible to ensure work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures and to perform the more technical and complex tasks related to assigned area of responsibility.

 

Your key responsibilities: 

 

PO preparation for certain categories of products and low value orders Assisting the Senior Purchasing officers with orders Assist in evaluating all purchase request, acquisitions and orders on regular basis and develop implementation strategies for all programs to provide optimal level of customer services. Prepares and maintain all reports to track orders and identify cost cutting initiatives. Assist in handling all communication for purchase orders with vendors, analyze all communication for same, resolve all purchase issues and coordinate with accounts payable department to process all invoices. Analyzes all vendor invoices and evaluate it with all quantity received. Assist in managing inventory of all items and managing all purchase orders related to inventory. Maintains records of all purchase order and associate documents for all processes. Maintains knowledge on all open order and its status to provide update about the delivery schedule to all requestor. Review vendor quotations with help of purchasing techniques and organize all procurement activities. Responds to inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner. Prepares reports needed to ensure compliance within the respective department.

 

What you bring 

 

Bachelors degree  2+ years of experience  Physically fit to carry out duties. Legally permitted to work in the country of operations. Physically fit to carry out duties. Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general internet navigation and research skills.
