Office Manager
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Office Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Plymouth, Minnesota. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative and accounting functions, supporting a manufacturing environment with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple office tasks independently. Responsibilities: • Oversee and maintain office operations, ensuring seamless administrative support across departments. • Manage accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll tax reporting, and financial statements. • Utilize Asured software and Excel spreadsheets to handle manual processes and generate accurate reports. • Prepare cost estimates, purchase orders, and shipping documentation for repeat customers. • Collaborate with external accounting firms to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. • Monitor and improve office systems, assisting in the transition to modernized HR programs. • Handle payroll processing using Paychex and maintain employee records. • Provide leadership and guidance to a small team handling inbound calls and purchasing. • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality. • Support the implementation of new tools and processes to enhance efficiency. Requirements • Strong proficiency in accounting functions, including journal entries and financial statement preparation. • Experience with Asured software and manual accounting systems. • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office applications. • Familiarity with payroll processing and tax reporting using Paychex. • Proven ability to manage office operations independently and take ownership of administrative tasks. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Preference for candidates with an Accounting degree. • Demonstrated ability to lead in a detail-oriented office environment.
