Union Tank Car Company is seeking an Office Supervisor at our full-service rail tank car repair shop in Cleveland, TX. The Company’s regulatory, engineering and commercial expertise make UTLX the preferred source of railcars and services for many of its customers. The Office Manager, reporting to the Plant Manager, is responsible for having an ongoing communication with customers and Customer Service Representatives to ensure new cars, approvals and dispositions are received in a timely manner and invoicing is done upon completion of cars. This person will support shop managers, as well as supervise clerk(s) to ensure efficient shop operations. Primary responsibilities and/or essential functions include, but are not limited to:

ResponsibilitiesManage / train clerk(s)Receive cars – OTMA Approvals – Last ContentsManage disposition request and creation of waybillsEnter and update scheduled release dates (SRD)Upload Billing Repair Card (BRC) into customer websitesObtain and track approvalsRelease and invoice car recordsPayroll/attendance – back up as neededEnsure car files are easily accessible and processed as requiredManage enroute board as requiredSkills/Education/ExperienceBe willing to assist on off shift as neededBe responsive to customer communicationsWork responsibly and efficiently with limited supervision / directionThink outside the boxBe willing to take on other tasks and support all areas of operationMultitask with good problem-solving skills and offer solutions to problemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDetail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skillsHigh School Diploma required
