Job Summary/Description:
KWCH 12 News is searching for a full-time Office Manager. This career opportunity requires the ability to interact effectively with individual employees and departments on both a local and corporate level. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities and requires significant organization, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities. The ideal candidate must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of the position and independently follow tasks through to completion.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• General Accounting: Collaborate with the Corporate Shared Services Department for the successful application of accounting on the local station level
• Accounts Payable: Code and proof for accuracy of all vendor invoices for proper payment through corporate accounts payable systems
• Accounts Receivable: Manage active and aging accounts to ensure payment collections and submit adjustments when needed
• Human Resources: New employee onboarding. Ensure smooth implementation of benefit and compensation plans
• Compliance: Coordinate station Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) efforts. Document and publish station employment openings to appropriate agencies, research required employment fairs, and networking opportunities.
• Assist the Safety Coordinator in implementing and maintaining Gray Media Inc.'s required safety programs.
• Perform various other duties as assigned by the station General Manager and Accounting Manager
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively in a positive and pleasant manner
• Maintain confidentiality and possess superior organizational skills
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and a willingness to learn and perform assigned tasks
• 3-5 years of administrative experience preferred
• Some knowledge and experience in accounting, EEO regulations, and OSHA guidelines preferred
