Data Connects Us. **About the Role:** The Office of the CISO (OCISO) is part of Confluent’s Trust and Security organization and its mission is to earn and retain trust by championing Confluent’s security, privacy, resilience, and compliance positions, thereby accelerating customer adoption and use of our platform and products. The OCISO Enablement Lead will oversee and execute global trust enablement programs and capabilities to support regional teams in driving security and compliance assurance. This includes developing scalable processes for customer risk assessments, contract reviews, regulatory audits, and trust-focused external communications. The role demands operational independence, with the ability to deliver initiatives at scale while seeking leadership direction when necessary. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to manage processes effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization. This is a remote-based position. **What You Will Do:** + Collaborate with GTM teams to implement and scale global and regional Field and Customer enablement programs + Act as a subject matter expert on customer security assurance and regulatory requirements, providing actionable guidance on emerging regulations affecting cloud adoption + Execute the product trust and compliance roadmap in coordination with Product, Engineering, and Legal teams + Develop and manage scalable capabilities (e.g., standard contract terms, CABs, customer audits, QBRs) to address third-party risk management and customer assurance needs + Analyze feedback from Field and Customer processes to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement in OCISO operations + Foster strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, CSG, Product, Engineering, and Legal teams to support trust-building initiatives and ensure alignment **What You Will Bring:** + Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in Information Security and Compliance + Expertise in cloud/SaaS environments with complex security and compliance requirements, either as a provider or customer + Proven experience managing cross-functional security and compliance programs + Knowledge of key regulations and frameworks, including GDPR, FedRAMP, CSA, NIST, and other regional/industry standards **What Gives You an Edge:** + Current Security CISSP, CISA, CISM, or equivalent certification completed or currently in progress + Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and planning skills + Prior experience reviewing and negotiating security clauses within customer contracts a plus + Able to independently lead and manage internal process and operational improvement programs + Interpersonal skills to work as a team member and as a liaison **Come As You Are** At Confluent, equality is a core tenet of our culture.
