Office Services Clerk I

The E.W Scripps Company is seeking an Office Services Clerk I.  This person will perform a variety of general housekeeping, supply stocking, and clerical responsibilities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.

Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals.

Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, other documents, using word processing, spreadsheets, database, and/or presentation software.

Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.

Maintain inventory flow and storage of office supplies.

Participate in building safety and evacuation team at supervisor’s direction.

Perform other duties as needed and as directed by supervisor/management.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

High school diploma or equivalent

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Basic math, reading and computer skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook and Excel

Resourceful, possess excellent communication skills, ability to work with public and with other office personnel in person and by telephone

Strong attention to detail

Lifting required: must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

COMPENSATION RANGE:: $15.38 - $20.19


 

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in New York.
